Which was the first book you really loved? The Anne of Green Gables series were the first books that I loved and reread too many times to count. I used to love the world Anne created and I felt like she was an old friend I could talk to.

What/Who got you into reading? I was a bit of an introvert when I was younger and libraries always seemed to be a sort of refuge. Once I found out I could go to the library during recess, I’d find myself there, looking the shelves and touching each book. I think my English teacher was the one who encouraged us to read more but I remember that I was always fascinated by books.

What’s your favorite genre? Why? It’s always difficult to choose a specific genre because I like to read a little bit of everything. I’ve always loved science fiction. I love imagining different worlds out there and thinking about different issues that distopias bring up. The universe and what lies beyond has always captured my attention.

Why do you love reading? Books have become an old friend. So when I read, I feel like I’m being reunited with a friend. I also love reading because I like to be challenged and I love traveling to different worlds. There’s so much gained from reading, so I do it because I want to keep learning and be transported to different places.
